Chapter 1
Moonshimmer was hunting. She caught 1 mouse and 3 squirrells. When she came back to camp, everyone was doing their usual routes. But she knew another prophecy was about. The other prophecy was only the Moon can save the gathering. That was her. "hi, Grastripe," Moonshimmer said as she went by Graystripe. He murmered a hey, then went to lead the hunting patrol. Tonight, the medicine cat, Nightfire, shall go to Highstones.
Moonshimmer layed in the warriors den, going to take a cat nap to learn more about the prophecy. it was dark. She was at the river, and Firestar and Redtail were their, full flesh and blood. They came toward her when they spotted her, blood dripping from their pelts. Redtail murmered in her ear in a ghostly whisper,"The dying Starclan cat shall show the way. You are the chosen one yet again in this prophecy."
Moonshimmer woke, up, only to realize she slept for 1 hour. It was almost dark, so she got up, and went to Swiftstar's den. "Um, Swiftstar," she mewed. She heard him say come in, so she entered. "You know those cats that you saw," she meowed."Yes?" "Well, i think it was Redtail and Firestar." He looked at me, then smiled,"So, finally heard about the prophecy?" Moonshimmer looked at him, and said yes. "Nevertheless, this prophecy shall be bloody,"he responded. Moonshimmer closed her eyes.
She went hunting the next day, and found a handsome black and white tom. A rouge, she thought. She suddenly fell in love with him, and asked him,"Whats your name?" The tom looked up. "Claw. Yours?" "Moonshimmer." Hesmiled, then meowed,"Such a lovely name for a lovely she-cat!" At that moment, she wanted to bring him with her into Thunderclan.
Chapter 2
"Ok. Claw can stay. But his name shall be Clawfoot,"Swiftstar announced. Moonshimmer nuzzled Clawfoot, and Clawfoot did the same thing. Nobody protested, they just gave a wink of amusment at the nuzzling cats. Tonight was a Gathering. Moonshimmer and Clawfoot got to go, to. They law down together, in the dewy grbooty."Firestar and Redtail stole prey from us,"Swifstar just blurted out. Every single cat just burst out laughing, exept Moonshimmer and Clawfoot.
Swiftstar just shrugged.
A few moons later, Moonshimmer was pregnant."We are going to have kits!"Moonshimmer lay in the nursery. She suddenly felt as though a kit was coming out. A few minutes later, 4 kits were suckling there mother. Clawfoot stared softly at his kits. "They are beatiful, Moonshimmer,"he spoke so soft, it was hard to believe he was a tough cat. Moonshimmer gave them names. Bluekit and Sapphirekit were both female twins. Skykit and Checkerkit were males.
She YET AGAIN had another dream. Redtail and Firestar were flying towards Fourtrees, then coming back again. More blood was dripping from their pelts. They were the dying warriors! She woke up, to find Checkerkit running around the nursery like a maniac. Bluekit and Sapphirekit were grooming each other, while Skykit chased Checkerkit. When they decided to go outside in the warm sunlight, i went out to. "Where's Clawfoot," I asked Dreamwings. "Hunting patrol,"she replied.
While watching her kits, she heard Redtail say in her ear,"Go to Fourtrees. Now." She told Dreamwings to watch her kits. before she could say why, Moonshimmer already rushed off. When she got to Fourtrees, Redtail and Firestar were there, ALOT of blood on them, in flesh. "We have a message." "Yes?" Moonshimmer replied."Starclan is dying."
Chapter 3
"And Bluekit shall be Bluepaw,"Swiftstar announced. All of Moonshimmer's kits are apprentinces now. But that wasn't on her mind now. "How can Starclan be dying..."she murmed to herself. Was it some evil force? or Tigerstar able to kill in Starclan?"Mommy, mommy! I' an apprentince now,"Checkerpaw said happily. Moonshimmer looked gently at her kit, then smiled and licked his head."I must tell Swiftstar about what happened at Fourtrees,"Moonshimmer said quitly after Checkerpaw left with Skypaw, Bluepaw, and Sapphirepaw."Don't,"she heard Firestar whisper in her ear."Ok,"Moonshimmer replied."What do i have to do to keep Starclan from dying?" "You must come to Starclan,"he whispered gently. When he left, she felt hot blood on her pelt. When she looked, blood was pouring out, but it didn't hurt.
She sniffed the blood. Firestar's blood! She thought. Suddenly, her spirit lifted away. Clawfoot and Spiritheart came back from hunting patrol. Spiritheart gasped when she saw Moonshimmer's body fall, limp. When Clawfoot scrambled quickly toward his mates' body, he yowled with pain. She was dead. Bluepaw, Sapphirepaw, Checkerpaw, and Skypaw came to see the limp body of thier mother. But, nobody knew that her spirit was right in front of her body. Her body started to lift for the incoming Silverpelt.
"So this is what it feels like to die and travel to Starclan......"
A paw prodded Moonshimmer on the side. "moonshimmer, wake up,"a soft voice made her lift her head. She stirred, then said,"Redtail? Why am i dead?" Redtail chuckled. "You are not dead. You are still alive, your spirit is the only thing that dwells. Your body is alive, your heart is still barely thumping,"he paused then said more sternly,"Starclan is dying because, something struck us. It was, Tigerstar, and some other evil cats," he began to cry a bit,"Sw-Swiftpaw, he, was the first victim."Swiftpaw is forever gone. we need you to batte him."
"Firestar!!" Tigerstar was trying to rip Firestar out."But...how is Tigerstar able to attack...to kill in Starclan?"Moonshimmer attacked Tigerstar in a heartbeat. Firestar dropped, but still alive. Tigerstar pushed her off, but she went under him, ripped Tigerstar's throat. Blood started to go everywhere. Tigerstar yowled in pain. "TAke ThISSSS!!!" Moonshimmer jumped on Tigerstar's back, claws exstended and unsheathed. She ripped her claws through Tigerstar's back. While she was doing that, everything seemed to stop all around her, then Firestar's voice came into her ear,"Rip him from tail to head."
Everything started going again. Tigerstar lunged for her, but she clung on.
"Now, REALLY TAKE TTHhHIIISSS!!!" She ripped her claws from the end of his tail to his head. Tigerstar began to choke and cough out blood. Tigerstar dropped, limp with a deathy death. His body began to dissappear. Swiftpaw, Bluestar, and Silverstream, Spotteleaf, and Patchpelt came back. Before they could thank her, Redtail touched noses with her, and she shot back into her body, Silverpelt and the images of Starclan fading away.
Chapter 4 Epilouge
Moonshimmer closed her eyes, begining to drift asleep, with Clawfoot cuddled with her. In her dreams, the fight with Tigerstar came back. But when she defeated him, Her body wouldn't come back. The cats that were killed by Tigerstar returned, then said thier thank you's. Redtail touched her nose, then said,"Welcome to Starclan."
Moonshimmershot awake, then an image of Redtail appeared, then disappeared.
Moonshimmer blinked. Was Redtail trying to take her back to Starclan? She heard Redtail's soft voice,"You will be Checkerpaw's mentor. Tomorrow, you both would die of a badger. That is why I came, to take you before you suffered..." The next day, Swiftstar announced that Checkerpaw is now Moonshimmer's mentor. They both went to train at the hollow. Suddenly, a black and white animal with a pointed nose appeared! "Checkerpaw, run!!!!"Moonshimmer waited until Checkerpaw set of to find help, because a badger was so close to a camp. But then, Checkerpaw came back, hissing and spitting at the badger.
"NO!!!" Moonshimmer cried, as she tried to throw herself over her kit before the badger could kill him. Unfortuantly, the badger hit both of them. No...
"Wake up, Mommy!" Moonshimmer heard Checkerpaw's voice, steady and nervous. Moonshimmer got up, then said to her kit, "We are dead..." "No, ahhhh!!!!" Moonshimmer saw that they weren't dead, just blood splattered all over them. She saw Cherckerpaw's body go limp, dead. Suddenly, her body began to die. "Mo-Mommy?" Moonshimmer looked at Checkerpaw, then smiled,"NOW we are dead." Checkerpaw looked at his mother, then smiled too,"Dying...It just, feels nice, relaxing."
When the two kin got to Starclan, they heard Redtail'soft voice,"Are you ready to hunt with Starclan?""Yes" They answered at the same time. Redtail chuckled, then said," Another story has parted..." "Moonshimmer!"Moonshimemr looked, then saw Clawfoot."Clawfoot? How did you die?" "From you dying, its just, the pressure in my heart was so great, it killed me.""I love you"Moonshimmer and Clawfoot Nuzzled eachother, then Checkerpaw nuzzled his mother."i love you all"
